Back on May 28th, there were four eggs in the bluebirds' nest. By the 29th, there were five. They didn't really fit too well and were sorta on top of each other. Which made me wonder how five babies were going to fit in there if the eggs were crowded. Anyway, Eric and I have been doing daily nest checks, waiting for the eggs to hatch. Two were hatched out yesterday morning and two more were out today. I am guessing all will be hatched by tomorrow morning. Last week, Eric hung a bluebird feeder on the opposite side of our house from their nest box and stocked it with live grubs. The parents haven't yet found it, but we are hoping they do very soon. We are really anticipating the frenzy that feeding five babies will bring. You can check out the ugly babies here.

We are all excited to see you in August!!!
We think they are pretty amazing, too! I will do updates on these guys, we look at them every day. Hopefully, everything will go well and I won't wind up chronicling a disaster.
