On this morning's nest check, we found that in addition to the wing feathers the babies started yesterday; they now are growing feathers on their heads and their eyes are open! Apparently, they won't be sporting that baby fuzz for very much longer. The strongest chick is in the lower right side of this photo and the weakest directly behind. Sitting here in the computer room, the nest box is about fourty feet away and visible. I can tell every time a parent lands on the box because I can hear them all cheeping. Judging by the sound; they're getting fed every few minutes. I really wish they'd find that feeder!
